It has been so long since my last blog and so many wonderful things are happening in my life. I am proud to announce I am Miss Indiana Earth United States. As I prepare for my big day on stage, I am constantly looking into jewelry, gowns and other accessories at great practical prices. As you know, I love to dress for all occasions and still be under budget. Today we will be talking about that one time you decide to treat yourself. So, one wardrobe piece I tend to spend a great amount of money on are watches. I have about four watches and each watch has/will last me years. I am practical about what style I choose in order to keep a stylish look throughout the life of the watch and I check for quality.
I purchased my very first watch with my own money in college. I was working part time at an high end fashion mall selling very expensive merchandise. I was meeting celebrities and people with cash to flaunt. But I knew that as a working college student I had to be smart about my spending. One day I am window shopping and come across an "expresso" high end watch by a very popular watch brand. Even though it was on sale it still cost a lot. So you know what I did? I saved half of the amount from one check and took the rest from the check after that. That is still my favorite watch 6yrs later!
I did not go hungry, skip bills or go on a shopping trip. I simply found what I wanted and saved up for it in a timely fashion. This saved any moments that could make me feel as though I cannot enjoy the fruits of my labor. Remember, its great to invest in pieces that can last you years, such as nice jewelry. The key word is "invest". Anytime you are spending your hard earned money, you need to be sure to see it as an investment that can render you some type of return in the future.
